When a call comes in to the IP PBX a SOAP demand is sent to the audio/media device that prompts the volume to be muted instantly then start ringing so that when the telephone is answered there is no loud music picked up by the speaker on the IP handset. Once the call is finished the IP PBX will then issue another request to the audio/media device to enhance the volume to its original state.
